Why we invested

The thesis behind Bayaan.

Gulf regulation is tightening and mid-size compliance teams are drowning in manual checks. The founders built this as consulting for two Dubai banks before productising it. The first four customers pay annual contracts in dirhams.

In production, revenue in hard currency, engineering in Islamabad at a fraction of a Dubai competitor's cost. Compliance is sticky — once a bank configures its rules, switching is expensive.
